Day #16 - Today was Miss P's sports carnival day. Was so much fun, a little chilly though. I was looking forward to seeing my little miss run in her age race. She tried her best and came 4th (out of 5 - don't think anyone in our family was built for speed). I had to calm her down a bit afterwards, she was a bit upset about not winning - I've no idea where she gets that from!
Day #17 - Nursed a sick little patient today. Poor Miss P had picked up a bug and spent the day in bed. Hate seeing my kids sick, I feel so helpless.
Day #19 - Packed up my family and headed over to my dad's place (which is literally an 80 second drive) for a delicious lunch. It's times like these I'm glad I'm not doing the real Dry July as I'm sure that I'd have to avoid going for meals at my dad's place for 31 days. Wine is pretty much handed to me as soon as I walk through the door. Lucky for me hubby is always happy to be the designated driver.
Day #20 - With both kids at school/day care today my husband & I decided to go and see Jurassic World with the double pass that I'd won last month. As luck would have it when I went to look for the tickets, you know just minutes before we are ready to walk out the door, they were nowhere to be found. Ugggh, I searched everywhere for them but could not locate them. We still went on our outing, I had some other spare movie passes that could be used for any movie but now that we've seen Jurassic World I just know that the pass will show up! Was nice to have a kid-free outing, I can't remember the last time we went to the movies together.
Day #21 - Just another ordinary day in suburbia. The postman delivered a massive pile of bills today. Rates, electricity - yuck! It's times like these I really miss comping :( After today just 10 days to go, the countdown is on.
