Day #23: Oh dear, Miss P's germs from last week must be doing the rounds in our household. Today Mr L was my poor little patient.
Day #24: So proud of Miss P today, she participated in the finals for a public speaking competition at her school. She was called out first and was struck by a massive case of stage fright. She came running off stage and told me she didn't know what she had to do, a bit overwhelming for a 5 year old to speak in front of a hall full of people. But she got back out there and delivered her speech like a champ and was one of two students from her stage to be selected to go to zone!
Day #27: So when Mr L was struck down by illness he unfortunately puked all over his froggy Pillow Pet - I tossed it. As he's right into TMNT at the moment and his birthday is just around the corner I figured I'd get him another one. I searched online for a Ninja Turtle one. They were available from the Pillow Pet website for $30 + $6 postage or from Big W for $14 (well that's a no brainer where to purchase from). However it stated on Big W's website that they were only available to purchase online, that meant paying $10 for postage. No problems, still cheaper than the Pillow Pet website. After I ordered one I headed over to Big W to search for a book week costume for Miss P. Would you believe that whilst in store I spotted Ninja Turtle Pillow Pets on their shelves? Agggghhhhh, waste of $10!
Day #28: Yay, postie was good to me today. I won DVD, 'The Nut Job' from Femail - my first prize in 3 weeks!
Day #29: I had been looking forward to today for so long. Another girly outing with my besties, we went to see 'Train Wreck' at Chicks At The Flicks. OMG, was so hilarious - fingers crossed I win a copy when it comes out on DVD!
Day #30: It was Education Week this week and today was the Book Parade at Miss P's school. She looked adorable dressed in her cute, little Minion outfit.
Day #31: Today I made my donation to Dry July as I countdown the hours until the finish. I also did another good deed and boxed up some pantry items to donate to The Little Juddies (a local family helping out charities), who were collecting donations for Carrie's Place - a refuge for women and children escaping domestic violence.
Well despite not comping (for most of the month), July has certainly been an extremely busy month for me. I have missed comping like crazy though and cannot wait to get back into it. I have also decided never to give up comping ever again, next year it will be the alcohol that goes - or I will just sponsor someone else, that way I'm still helping.
