Designed for children aged 4 - 7 years, the LeapBand is a wearable activity tracker that encourages fun, active play and healthy habits while nurturing their very own personalised virtual pet. There are 14 different default activities and challenges with an additional 36 to be unlocked, the more active your little one is, the more points they will earn towards unlocking new challenges and up to 7 new pets.
Miss P couldn't wait to pick out a pet (she chose a unicorn and named her ('Lucky Sparkles') and start taking care of it by feeding it, playing with it and taking it to the pet salon. She had so much fun bouncing like a kangaroo and jumping around roaring like a tiger, I'm sure she didn't even realise she was actually exercising. When feeding her pet she's also learning a lot about healthy eating and a balanced diet - I'm hoping she will put this into practise as well!
