I started this blog just over 3 years ago because when I started comping, winning and sharing my 'win' stories with some of my close friends, some of them decided to give it a go too. I felt great when they started telling me that they were winning prizes too so I wanted to share my hobby with more people and connect with other compers out there. Plus, I wanted to run my own giveaways and feel the joy of telling someone that they had won a prize on my blog. I didn't expect any followers to be all like 'Oooh I love you, your awesome' or anything, more like, 'Hey I enter giveaways too, comping is the best!' But I guess I didn't really think about the fact that there might be, at some point, some negativity directed at me over my blog. I always kind of thought that if someone didn't like my blog - they just wouldn't read/follow it. So I wasn't really prepared for this message that I received last week that read........
The message came through, from a 'Kerry', as a comment on one of my giveaway posts. I think he/she (not sure) may have become frustrated over the fact that all comments (for now very obvious reasons) need to be approved before they appear on the blog as another comment was made seconds later that read 'Lick MY balls'. Yeah, CHARMING! Now, the second comment was made by a person by the name of 'ANUS ANUS', but unless their parents are celebrities, I think it's safe to assume that that's not their real name. The comment also came from the same IP address as my #1 fan 'Kerry'.
I'm fairly certain that I don't have to explain this to the majority of you, but just on the off chance that 'Kerry' might actually be reading this (probably not though), I'll just say that I have recently given away some pretty awesome prizes and I can tell you that if I had won any of them - I'd be keeping them! Besides, the prizes I don't have a personal use for, I gift to family members as birthday or Christmas presents or donate them to local charities. Also, the only people who I obtain more than an email address from are the giveaway winners for the purpose of delivering their prize! How would it benefit me to collect the addresses of all of my so-called 'competitors'? What does he (said he had balls, I've now decided 'Kerry' is male) think I will do, use someone else's address when I'm entering comps? Sorry all, but unlikely.
Well 'ANUS', sorry 'Kerry' - if that is even your real name, if you are reading this, I hope that if you are a comper, that you win a prize REALLY soon, and if you're not, you really should try it as winning a prize or two might put you in a more positive mood - like the rest of us here!
