We all know that for entering competitions, having a Facebook account can be a big advantage, ie when competitions ask you to ''Like' our page for extra entries', 'Share this comp for extra entries', etc. Of course I have a Facebook account, who doesn't? But when entering competitions that use Rafflecopter, or similar, to draw winners, I'm always missing out on the extra entries given for clicking the 'follow on Twitter/Instagram' buttons. I don't have an account for either and I'm not really sure I understand why people open accounts with Twitter or Instagram if they already have Facebook. I post status's on Facebook which I guess would be 'Tweets' on Twitter and share photos there too, which is what Instagram is all about. So if I created accounts with these social media channels, wouldn't the people following just be seeing the same content that I already post on Facebook?
Does anyone have a Twitter or Instagram account? Or both?
If so, do you think it's worthwhile having them in order to gain extra entries in competitions?
Have you ever won a competition by submitting a photo on Instagram?
Should I sign up?
Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!
